Portable Solar Cold Room

Portable Solar Cold Room is a storage system powered by solar photovoltaic with battery backup that can be integrated into various agricultural value chains to provide storage for a wide range of items at the required temperature and relative humidity.

HOW DOES IT WORK?

The system is based on the JLS Origin concept, in which the cold is generated by the solar-powered JLS Origin Cooling Units and stored in the water chiller, thermal storage based on ice. This thermal storage provides efficient cold transfer with high rates of discharge and low losses. The cold energy is sent to the box using an ultra-low power consumption pump.

A heat exchanger and a control system guarantee reliable cold transfer and air distribution to the box. With the solar-powered Cold Box, different products can be cooled down independently of any infrastructure using only the sun’s energy.

Powered by Solar

The Cold Box is designed to run only with solar energy. No additional power support is required. The Photovoltaic (PV) SOlar Panels are used to convert sunlight energy to a Direct Current (DC) which powers the PSCB.

Natural Refrigerants

Depending on your needs our PSCR runs with R290 or R600a refrigerants. They are natural hydrocarbon refrigerants with an ultra-low ODP(Ozone Depletion Potential) and GWP (Global Warming Potential)

Temperature: 0 – 10 °C

Fully adjustable temperature and humidity allow users to prolong the shelf life and store their products at the required temperature and humidity.




Low Power Requirement

PSCR requires power as low as 1KW to produce a high peak cooling. Thermal storage allows high energy discharge rates, which are required to cool down the products effectively.

Designs

Portable Solar Cold Room of 10 m³ to 40m³ is possible. Several PSCR cooling units can be connected in parallel, creating a system adapted to our customer’s need

The Portable Solar Cold Room is designed to work at optimal performance in harsh conditions of tropical regions. With each units connected together to for high efficiency.
